![]() But yes you have to be very selective or you will pay more than Aldi's. But since it's Costco or nothing, I do shop at Costco. We haven't had a Sam's for at least 5-6 years but I vastly preferred it for food over Costco simply because I can't afford the markups for organic food and Costco definitely leans that way more than Sam's did. Oh, every winter I buy the box of Marie Callender chicken pot pies when they are discounted. (I have a person in the house who refuses any cream cheese except Philadelphia brand, but they have it pretty cheaply in a four-pack of 8-ounce blocks, which is more practical than Costco's giant single block of it.) Sometimes snacks.Īt either I get OTC meds, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, parchment paper, sometimes aluminum foil, and plastic wrap - whoever has it cheaper when I need it. The free and easy rotations for the life of the tire, and repairs make it worth it beyond the discount on the tires.Īt Sam's I buy chicken parts, sausages, cream cheese. But we buy those when they are discounted (in the coupon book). We buy all our tires at Costco. Same with frozen egg rolls and, during the holidays, we MUST get the mozzarella sticks and mini quiches. The mini frozen pizzas (I forget the brand) that come in a mixed pack of cheese and pepperoni, are often in our freezer. Well, I guess I have occasionally seen one-off sales at grocery stores, or meat marked down because it's at sell-by date that are cheaper, but that's an exception.Īt Costco I buy all our coffee, butter, chicken broth, rolled oats, King Arthur flour, basmati rice, bacon, frozen breakfast sausage patties, some cheeses, avocado singles (yes just like King Fu Panda).
